Don’t expect anything to happen. Just wait. This waiting is a deep acceptance of the moment as such. Nietzsche called it amor fati — unquestioning love of whatever has fated you to be here. You reach a point where you’re just sitting there, asking, “What is this?” — but with no interest in an answer. The longing for an answer compromises the potency of the question. Can you be satisfied to rest in this puzzlement, this perplexity, in a deeply focused and embodied way? Just waiting without any expectations?

There is a there, there; but when you’re there, there’s nothing there…

    Everything as it is

There is no way we can judge ourselves because we cannot step outside of ourselves into objectivity. This is so because there is no separation between subject and object in the actualization of reality …

The five mile (8k) run went really well. A few more of those and then a 10k I think.

Spiritual traditions can be rich seams of wisdom, insight and practice. And yet are really just the initial clues and pointers for the far more important process of our own personal life experience, practice, insight and wisdom.

In the beginning we consult the great traditions to see if we have got it right. At a certain point we consult the great traditions to see if they have got it right!

Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word ‘happy’ would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.

    Wish me luck…

A full life is what results when we are thoroughly emptied out. When we become the space for life to manifest unopposed.
