If you drop the entire weight of authority--the scriptures; the words and histories of the God-men; all the teachings of all the gurus; the encumbrance of all the religions and metaphysical conceptions-- just drop ALL of it as if it were a bunch of meaningless chit-chat--and just stop assuming that there is something to find or to gain through any kind of effort, the identity of self and experience, I say, will be obvious.
