This was 16 yesterday. No more mountains or hikes left in her but she keeps on trucking, ever more slowly, and making us laugh every day. Happy Birthday Toast.

The glory of a beautiful Spring day would not exist if not for all the bleak, grey winter ones that preceded it.


Investigate, question, examine, interrogate anything for long enough and sooner or later it disappears.


We educate and pass on our values to our children not by lecturing but by example, how we live, how we behave day in, day out.


We could almost be forgiven for thinking Spring is in the air…


A civil and humane society is held together and sustained less by its laws than by the everyday acts of kindness, compassion, generosity and care that individuals bestow upon each other in ordinary day to day life.
