So much pointless anguish lies at the foot of thinking we know why we do what we do.

We can spend hours and hours thinking and thinking and it all pales and falls so dramatically short of the raw, immediacy and vibrant actuality of the aliveness of the present moment.

Life isn't a dress rehearsal – this is it. It's your job to show up for this moment.

The existence or not or rather the belief or non-belief in free will is just mental gymnastics. Great fun yet of no consequence whatsoever when simply living one’s life.

Blind devotion to a religion, scripture, guru, teacher or tradition is always a dead end. However, the organic and open-ended combination of any or some of the above with one’s own experience and insights can be transformational.

Whatever you find yourself doing (even if it’s scrolling soc med or disappearing down a YouTube hole) just do it with the full and open awareness that that is what you’re doing.

We are often reminded to not confuse the map with the territory, yet it is more confusing to forget that the map is actually part of the territory.

Accepting what life presents us with

People do not realize just how much they are putting at risk when they don’t accept what life presents them with, the questions and tasks that life sets them.

When they resolve to spare themselves the pain and suffering they owe to their nature.

In so doing, they refuse to pay life’s dues and for this very reason, life then often leads them astray.

If we don’t accept our own destiny, a different kind of suffering takes its place: a neurosis develops, and I believe that that life which we have to live is not as bad as a neurosis.

If I have to suffer, then let it be from my reality. A neurosis is a much greater curse!

    Carl Jung

Try and stop a river and it inevitably spreads everywhere uncontrollably. Let it flow and it just moves on past without a trace.

Waking up is a relaxation into not knowing, into simply being this whole happening, just as it is.

Forget dual and non-dual. They are just words that don’t change or make any difference to the actuality of your present experience of aliveness.

Taking responsibility for whatever comes before you…

Identification is the root of all bondage.

Identifying with silence, peace and stillness is misguided. We are the flow of all phenomena.
